Meanwhile, An Garda Síochána recently launched the Garda Bike safe scheme.
This is a programme where a full licensed motorcycle rider can get the opportunity to go through a classroom based session followed by an on-the-road session with one of the advanced Garda motorcyclists.
Riders will receive feedback and advice on improving their riding.
The aim of this programme is to hopefully improve rider safety and reduce the number of fatal and serious injury collisions involving motorcycles.
Anyone wishing to sign up can do so by clicking here.
