Peacefully, in the excellent care of the matron and staff of Milford Hospice Care, Limerick.
Pre-deceased by her parents Kitty and Joe and her sister Reenie.
Deeply regretted by her sisters Esther and Celine, brothers Joseph, TF and Gerard, sisters-in-law Carole, Margaret and Marianne, brother-in-law Leo, nieces, nephews, relatives, her best friend Poppy, very good neighbours and large circle of friends.
Reposing in Tierney’s Funeral Home, Roscrea (E53 NY70) on Thursday evening from 6.00pm to 8.00pm. Private removal from her residence on Saturday morning at 11.30am arriving to St. Molua’s Church, Ballaghmore (R32 RC53) for Funeral Mass at 12.00 noon. Burial afterwards in the adjoining church cemetery.
Noreen’s residence will be strictly private on Friday and Saturday.
Rita O’Brien (née Byrne)
Errill Road, Rathdowney, Laois / Drimnagh, Dublin
Rita O’Brien (nee Byrne), Errill Road, Rathdowney, Co. Laois and formerly Drimnagh, Dublin 12. March 28th 2023. Peacefully in the wonderful care of the staff of Portlaoise Hospital. Beloved wife of Thomas and deeply missed by her sons Eamonn, Bernard, John and Paul, daughters-in-law Marian and Colleen, friends Delia and Margaret, her adored grandchildren Katie, Lucy, Siobhan, Blathnaid and Tommy, extended family and friends.
Reposing at O’Sullivan’s Funeral Home on Friday evening from 6pm to 7pm. Funeral Mass on Saturday at 12 noon in The Church of The Holy Trinity, Rathdowney (www.parishwebsites.ie/rathdowney) followed by interment in Bealady Cemetery.
Mary Whalley (née Coleman)

Mary Whalley (nee) Coleman, England and formerly Closeland, Ballybrittas, Co. Laois.
Mary passed away after a short illness surrounded by her loving family.
Predeceased by her parents William and Bridget.
Deeply regretted by her loving son Michael, daughter Sinead and son in law Tom and adored grandchild Alfie. Sadly missed by her brothers Willie and Tom, sisters Alice (Maher), Breda (McCormack) and Ann (Duffy). Brothers in law Stephen McCormack and Willie Duffy, sister in law Bridie Coleman, nieces, nephews, cousins relatives and friends.

Anna Constance Bland (née Vesey)
Blandsfort, Ballyroan, Laois
The death has occurred on Sunday, the 26th of March, of Anna Constance Bland (nee Vesey) at her home at Blandsfort, Ballyroan, County Laois.
Dearly loved wife of the late John, adored mother to David and Peter, cherished mother-in-law to Frida and Chacha, and loving grandmother to Lodhi, John and Laura. She will be much missed by her brother, Tom, and her extended family and friends.
Requiem Mass shall take place at St Patrick’s Church, Ballyroan, County Laois at 12 p.m. on the 1st of April and the interment shall take place thereafter in the family crypt at Blandsfort.
Patrick J. Duffy
Eyre Street, Newbridge, Kildare / Ballybrittas, Laois
Patrick passed away peacefully in the company of his loving family in the care of the nurses and staff of Wicklow Hospice. Predeceased by his parents Patrick and Mary, sisters Nancy Whelehan and Moira Donoher and sister in law Elizabeth Duffy. Deeply loved and will be sadly missed by his brothers Willie, Frank, Louis, Rich and Peader and his sister Bridie (Luttrell) sister in law Ann, Sadie, Anne and Mary. Brother in law Jim, nieces, nephews, relatives, colleagues in Flanagan’s pub Newbridge and a large circle of friends.
Patrick will be reposing at his brother Willie’s residence R32 TP60 on Thursday, 30th of March, from 3pm with recital of the Rosary at 8pm.
Removal by Whelehan Funeral Directors on Friday at 1.20pm to arrive to the Sacred Heart Church, Rath for 2pm Requiem Mass.
Interment to follow in Saint John’s Cemetery, Killenard. House strictly private on Friday please.

Reposing in Tierney’s Funeral Home, Roscrea (E53NY70) on Wednesday evening from 4.00pm to 7.00pm. Private removal from his residence on Thursday morning at 11.15am arriving in St. Cronan’s Church, Roscrea (E53PK82) for Funeral Mass at 12.00 noon. Burial afterwards in the adjoining new cemetery.

The death has occurred of Basil William Robert, Broomfield, Clonreher, Portlaoise, Co. Laois.
Basil will be sadly missed by his much loved wife Jean, beloved daughters Lorna, Heather and Janet, sons-in-law Ivan, Rune and James, dear grandchildren Holly, Andrew, Alastair, Gavin, Bethany, Jonathan, Jennifer and Benjamin. Fondly remembered by his loving brother, sisters, relatives and friends.

Catherine (Rene) Lediard (nee Fanning), Surrey England and formerly Kilcoran Road, Rathdowney, Co. Laois. Saturday March 18th 2023. Peacefully at East Surrey Hospital, England.
Predeceased by her son Peter. Deeply missed by her husband Alex, daughter Michelle and son Tony. Sadly mourned by Ruth, James and families (Australia) and Mark, Karen and family.
A much loved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Will be sadly missed by her extended family, dear friends and neighbours. Forever in our thoughts and always in our hearts.
