Maura Phelan, Killeaney, Kilbricken, Shanahoe, Co Laois. Died peacefully, at Portlaoise Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. Predeceased by her parents Michael and Josephine. Deeply regretted by her loving and heartbroken husband James, daughter Lisa and husband Tony, son James and wife Helen, her adoring grandchildren Nicole, Cayden, Connie and James, sisters Irene and Audrey, brother Neil, sisters in law Marian and Josephine, brothers in law Jim and Brendan, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and lifelong friends.
Reposing at her residence on Friday 24th from 4pm with prayers at 8pm.
Removal to St. Brigid’s Church, Shanahoe, for Requiem Mass on Saturday at 12 noon. Interment afterwards in St. Brigid’s Cemetery, Shanahoe.
Therese (Tess) Phillips (née Dunne)
Rosconnell Walk, Newbridge, Kildare / Clonaslee, Laois
PHILLIPS (née Dunne) Therese (Tess) Rosconnell Walk, Newbridge & late of Clonaslee, Laois – 22nd March 2023 (peacefully) at home. Sadly missed by her loving husband Blaise, daughters Donna and Trish, grandchildren, brothers and sisters, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews, extended family, relatives and friends.

James died, unexpectedly, at The Mater Hospital, Dublin. Pre-deceased by his brothers Kieran and John. Deeply regretted by his brother Mike, sisters Judy and Catherine, brothers in law Tom (Somers) and Con (Sheehan), sisters in law Mary (Healy) and Mary (Hennessey), nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.
Reposing at his residence in Castlemarket, from 12 noon on Saturday with Rosary at 9pm.Funeral Mass on Sunday at 1pm in The Church of the Assumption, Ballyouskill. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. House Private on Sunday morning, please.
Martin Tas

Martin Tas. The Glebe, Coolrain, Portlaoise, Co. Laois. Died 15th March 2023, in the Netherlands, beloved son of William and Tonnie Tas, brother to Jackie (Mortimer). Sadly missed by his loving daughters Louie and Dave, brother-in-law Declan Mortimer, uncle of Aisling and Tamara, granduncle of Saoirse, relatives and friends.
Removal on Saturday morning (25th March) to St. Fergal’s Cemetery for Committal Service at 12 noon.
Nuala Beale (née Dunne)
Glenbrook, Ballyroan, Laois
Peacefully at her residence surrounded by her loving family; Geraldine, Eamonn, Pat, Mary, Brendan and Fionnuala. Predeceased by her husband Paddy, sisters Peg, Maureen, Nano, Kathleen and brother Sean. Deeply regretted by her brothers-in-law, sister-in-law, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, neighbours and friends.
Reposing at her residence from 4pm on Thursday. Removal from her residence on Thursday evening at 7.15pm arriving at St Patrick’s Church Ballyroan at 7.30pm for recital of prayers. Requiem Mass at 12noon on Friday. Nuala will be laid to rest immediately afterwards in St. Patrick’s Cemetery Ballyroan.

Cleary Kathleen. St Brigids Place. Portlaoise. March 22nd 2023 In the loving care of the staff of Brookhaven Nursing Home Ballyragget. Beloved wife of the late Jack. Deeply regretted by her loving sister Gertie, and brother in law Owen Lamb. Nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.
Reposing at Keegans funeral home on Thursday evening from 6.30 pm with rosary at 8 pm. Tom Cushen, 49 Pattison Estate, Mountmellick, Co. Laois and formerly Main Street, Stradbally, peacefully on the 22nd March 2023 after a short illness. Sadly missed by his mother Nancy, sister (Sheridan) Mary, brothers Michael and Paul, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family and his many friends.
Reposing at his family home at Main Street (R32 H7X8) from 12pm on Thursday. Requiem Mass for Tom will take place on Friday 24th at 12pm in the Sacred Heart Church, Stradbally. Interment to follow in Oakvale Cemetery.
Patrick (Paddy) Rowan

Patrick died peacefully in the Midland Regional Hospital, Tullamore in the presence of his family on the 21st March, 2023. Predeceased by his parents and his brothers Tim, Tony and Seán. Deeply regretted by his loving wife Patty, sons Philip, P.J. and Garry, daughter Fiona, daughters-in-law Catherine, Caroline and Gillian, son-in-law Patrick, grandchildren Alice, Colin, Bobby, Adam, Anna, Seán and Conor, brother Jimmy, sisters Amy, Kathleen and Bridget, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.
Reposing at Rigney’s Funeral Home, Athy on Thursday evening (March 23rd) from 5pm until the conclusion of the Rosary at 8pm. Removal on Friday morning to arrive at St. Mary’s Church, Wolfhill for Requiem Mass at 11am. Burial afterwards in the adjoining Cemetery.

Deeply regretted by his beloved wife Joan (nee Carrick), his father-in-law, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, extended family and friends, staff and neighbours in Sue Ryder Ballyroan, and Kilminchy.
Funeral arriving at St. Patrick’s Church Ballyroan for Requiem Mass at 9.30am.on Sunday. Interment afterwards in St. Patricks’ Cemetery.
Esther Fitzpatrick (née Kilroe)

Peacefully surrounded by her loving family at the Regional Hospital Tullamore. Predeceased by her parents Christopher and Catherine, brothers Peter, Paddy, Jimmy and Christy (died 16/3/2023), sisters Kathleen (Diviney) and Susan (Corcoran). Deeply regretted by her loving husband Joe, family Mary, Niall and Catriona, sons-in-law Larry Bergin and Tom Morrin, grandchildren Joe, Ashleigh and Petra, sisters Lily (Maloney) , Rosie (Flynn) , Margaret (McCann) , Ann (Daly) and Mary (Gorman) , brothers-in-law, sister-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.
Reposing at Maher’s Chapel of Rest, Portarlington on Thursday evening from 6pm with Rosary at 8pm. Removal on Friday morning at 11am (travelling via her residence in Kilnahown) arriving St Michael’s Church, Portarlington for Requiem Mass at 12 noon. Funeral afterwards to St Michael’s Cemetery, Portarlington.

Dolores (Lolo) O’Reilly (née Scully)
Kildalkey, Meath / Mountmellick, Laois
The death has occurred of Dolores (Lolo) O’Reilly (née Scully) of Kildalkey, Co. Meath and formerly of Mountmellick, Co Laois, peacefully at home with her heartbroken daughter Deirdre by her side. Dolores is now happily reunited with her beloved husband Pat, her cherished son Anthony, her sister Mercedes and her parents Joe and Daisie. Dolores will be sadly missed and always remembered by her loving daughter Deirdre, sister Clare, nieces & nephews, cousins, extended family and her many dear friends and kind neighbours.
Dolores will repose at her home in Kildalkey on Thursday 23rd March from 3pm to 7pm. House private at all other times.
