Champions Portarlington, who will be seeking a fourth title in a row in 2023, have been drawn to play Ballyfin in the opening round of the Laois SFC.
The draws were made this evening in the Laois Shopping Centre, sponsors of all of the adult championships in the county.
Other standout games see Portlaoise take on St Joseph’s and O’Dempsey’s face Graiguecullen
There is a slight change to the format of the senior grade whereby the eight teams that don’t make the quarter-finals go into a new ‘B’ championship which also doubles up as the relegation playoffs.
