A vintage car, truck and tractor run will take place in Laois next month in aid of an addiction treatment centre.
East Laois Macra members are holding the event starting from Pedigree Corner.
This will take place on Sunday March 12 at 1.30pm and will be followed by an auction.
The event will be held in conjunction with Cuan Mhuire, the addiction treatment centre.
Cuan Mhuire is Ireland’s largest voluntary provider of Addiction Treatment Services and Residential Rehabilitation.
It’s main objective is the rehabilitation of persons suffering from alcohol, drug and gambling addictions.
The Cuan Mhuire Programme is based on the philosophy of total abstinence and strives to restore the confidence, self-respect and sense of responsibility of all participants.
Th entry fee for the run is €20 in cash. Registration begins from noon with the run will depart at 1.30pm.
The run will be followed by an Auction in Pedigree Corner.
A spokesperson said: “Bring your best bidding skills and enjoy drinks, food and music in The Field Bar for the evening! Not to be missed.
“A number of great lots have been donated for the auction, some of which can be previewed on the club’s Facebook and Instagram pages.”
