Deerly loved husband of Eileen and loving father of Kyran and Niamh. Deeply regretted by his loving wife, son, daughter, son in law John, daughter in law Kate, grandchildren Paul, Sarah, Luke and Sam, sister in law Kay (Butler) (Aughafan) nieces, nephews and many dear friends.
Reposing in Guilfoyle’s Funeral Home, Castletown Eircode (R32 TN84) this Wednesday evening (Jan. 25th.) from 6 o’c with Rosary at 8 o’c.
Requiem Mass on Thursday morning (Jan 26th.) in St. Edmund’s Church, Castletown at 10 o’c followed by private cremation.

Passed away peacefully, at Beechwood Nursing Home, Leighlinbridge, Co. Carlow surrounded by her loving family, on January 23rd, 2023. Beloved wife of Eamonn. Sadly missed by her loving daughters Mary (Mulligan, New Zealand) and Linda (Murphy, Carlow) and son George. Adored grandmother of Sarah and Edward Mulligan, Sarah, David, Helen, Jane, Clare and Ian Ramsbottom, Adam, Greg and Ross Murphy. Deeply regretted by her sons-in-law Matt and Fergal and her daughter-in-law Aideen. Mourned by her sister Mary and Mary’s husband Desmond, her brothers Tom, Martin and the late Joe, dear cousin Mary, her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.
Reposing at Rigney’s Funeral Home, Athy, Co. Kildare, R14 TX26, on Thursday evening (January 26th) from 5pm until the conclusion of the Rosary at 8pm. Peacefully at Portlaoise General Hospital, Emily, beloved wife of the late Joe Stanley and much loved mother of Alan, Pamela (Byers), Fergus and Michelle (Hales), her ten treasured grandchildren Alvin, Joseph, Ciara, Alicia, Matthew, Aaron, Reuben, Joy, Rose and Leeson, daughter-in-law Alison, sons-in-law Nigel and Henry, sisters-in-law Annie (Lalor), Sylvia (Neale) and Mildred (Neale), nieces, nephews and friends. Predeceased by her brothers Leeson, William and James Neale and sisters Lottie (Melbourne), Hilda (Cantwell) and Ida (Stanley).
The Stanley family would like to express their deep appreciation to the many loyal carers of the Bluebird team who cared for Emily in the last two years with great compassion. We remember also Theresa and Margaret. Special thanks to Dr. Maher, the staff of Durrow Pharmacy and the Durrow Community Nurses for all their support and care. Collectively all these people enabled Emily to remain at home in her beloved Oldtown for as long as possible and to you all, we will be forever indebted.
