The Laois Gaels supporters association have launched their plans for 2023 which will see the majority of their fundraising going towards underage development.
The purpose of ‘Laois Gaels’ is to work alongside our county board to raise funds and support for our teams and players to ensure they can perform to their maximum potential.
The association will provide support to all teams from Laois development squads to senior teams in all codes.
Laois Gaels will also continue to support players through their welfare and hardship fund which will continue to benefit players in areas like mental health, bereavement and other areas of support that our players may require.
But the focus, according to new chairman Leo Turley, is firmly on our younger players.
He said: “I am delighted as Chairperson of Laois Gaels for 2023 to welcome everyone to a new season of GAA action.
“Membership and support are very important to the GAA in Laois and especially for our development underage squads in football and hurling.
“As a former player I recognise how important it is to have the simple things such as equipment, medical support, and the associated services to play for your county and that is our role with Laois Gaels to provide this financial support to the County Board.
“The coming year will again see our county teams endeavor to succeed on the pitch, so Laois Gaels need your support for 2023.
“Finally, I look forward to seeing plenty of action on the pitch and getting to meet plenty of Laois Gaels throughout the season at our games.”
Family membership (€120) for two adults and two children, adult membership (€50), junior U-16 membership (€20) and corporate membership (€100) are all available.
