Round 3 of the Women’s Inter-provincial Rugby championship is set to take place this weekend.
Connacht host Munster on Saturday at 1pm where a win will see them top the group.
While Ulster will then host Leinster at Queen’s University Sports Ground at 5.30pm.
A win for Leinster will leave them second behind Munster and two Laois players will be hoping that this is the case.
Two former Portlaoise RFC players are part of the Leinster squad – Emma Hooban and Eimear Corri.
The latter started in the second row in Round 1 as Leinster enjoyed a big 38-10 win against Connacht.
Leinster and Munster clashed in Round 2 last week with Corri once again starting.
However, this time Munster proved too strong as they scored a bonus point 26-17 win.
Portlaoise’s Hooban has yet to feature in the competition but she is set to return to the team for this weekend’s trip to Ulster.
Emma has 14 Caps for Ireland and was selected on the Ireland squad for the Japanese tour last August.
Both Corri and Hooban currently play with Blackrock College and were successful winners in the recent AIL final against Railway Union – a first win for Blackrock in the last 14 years.
The game will be shown live on TG4.
