A free concert in aid of Ukraine will be held in St Peter and Paul’s Church in Portlaoise on Sunday January 22.
The concert will commence at 3pm and is expected to last no longer than an hour.
The concert is free to attend although any donation for Ukraine will be welcome on the day.
The concert is being organised by Sofiia Kravets and is aid of a Ukrainian charity called ‘Riy’.
This charity provides much needed sleeping equipment for soldiers living in freezing conditions in Ukraine.
The music will consist of an array of different musicians including those from Ukraine and Ireland.
Performers will include Heather Fogarty, Ciaran Campbell, Tom Conroy, Elaine Walsh, Louise Kavanagh and lots more talented singers and musicians.
A spokesperson for the event said: “A raffle will also be held on the day.
“Please come and support this much needed cause and enjoy an hour of relaxing music.”
