May (Mary) Poole nee Redmond, Rosenallis, Co. Laois passed peacefully 22/12/22 surrounded by her loving family. Predeceased by her husband Tom, sister Eileen and brothers Tom and Joe.
Sadly missed and fondly remembered by her sons Aindreas, Dominic, Des and Cathal, daughters-in-law Pauline, Bernie, Patricia and Monica, grandchildren Rebecca, Cillian, Danielle and Kieran, sister Abbey, sister-in-law Rosie, nieces and nephews, neighbours, relatives and friends.
Pat Julian
Graigue, Ballylinan, Laois, R14 A218/Athy, Kildare
Pat passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family. He bravely fought and lived with cancer for the last ten years. Predeceased by his mother Anne (recently), his sister Mary Walsh and his grandson Eoin.
Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife Sheila, his children Paul, David, Seán, Brian, Linda and Claire, his daughters-in-law Mary Claire, Eva and Áine, son-in-law Conor, grandchildren Patrick, Jack, Jamie, Emily, Jane, Annie, Alannah, Alice, Grace and Laura, his brothers and sisters, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, extended family, friends and neighbours.
Reposing at his residence (R14A218) from 12pm Friday 23rd with Rosary at 8pm. Removal at 1.30pm on Saturday 24th to arrive in St. Anne’s Church, Ballylinan for Requiem Mass at 2pm. Burial afterwards in St. Anne’s Cemetery. The family would like to thank all the staff in Tallaght University hospital and the Palliative care team for their dedicated care to Pat.

Martin Gilligan, Ballyfin Road, Mountrath, Co. Laois. Died 21st December 2022, at Midland Regional Hospital Portlaoise surrounded by his loving family, predeceased by his parents Martin and Catherine and sister Joan. Sadly missed by his son Ian, daughter Jenna and their mother Beryl, his son in law John, grandchildren Kate, Louis and Ruby. Greatly missed by his brothers Anthony, Aidan, John, sisters, Margaret, Ann, Claire, Gabrielle, Majella, Angela, Carmel, Frances and Mary extended family and friends.
Reposing at Burke’s Funeral Home Mountrath on Friday evening from 3 o’clock with removal at 6.30p.m. to St. Fintan’s Church Ballyfin arriving at 7 o’clock. Requiem Mass on Saturday morning (Christmas Eve) at 11 o’clock, followed by burial in St. Fintan’s Cemetery Ballyfin.

Suddenly. Dearly loved and loving husband of Esther and loving father of Graeme and Keith. He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife, his sons, his daughters-in-law Zara and Cliodhna,his grandchildren Jesse, Kara and Isabelle, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, extended family, friends especially David and neighbours.
Reposing at his home (R32E4W0) on Thursday and Friday at 1pm until 9pm. Funeral Service on Saturday in St Patrick’s Church, Stradbally at 1pm Funeral Service link followed by burial in St Joseph’s Cemetery, Ballyadams. Graveside Service will be available after 6:30pm on Saturday

The death has occurred of Ann Lawlor (née Jordan) Derryguile, Mountmellick, Co. Laois and formerly of Coolbanagher, Emo.
Died peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family, after a long illness courageously borne. Predeceased by her parents Mary and James Jordan, her sisters Breda and Phil, brother Pat and her son baby Fintan.
Deeply regretted by her husband Fintan, sons Michael and Ronan, sisters May (Lynam), Rose (O’Shea), Imelda (Franklin) and Angela (McEvoy), daughter-in-law Laura, adored granddaughters Eve and Tess, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family wish to thank most sincerely everyone who cared for Ann so well throughout her illness.

Mc Guinness (née Power) December 20, 2022 peacefully at Beaumont Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Wife of Jim and dearly beloved mother of Damien, Sharon, Deirdre, and Aiden. Devoted grandmother of Shannen, Christopher, Emily, Sarah, Laura, Grace, Lilly, Rebecca, Mathew, Adam, Hannah, Erica, Leah, Lucy, Fionn, James, Erin and Lauren. Deeply regretted by her sister Anna and family, niece, Aishling and family, daughters and sons in law Bridget, Nuala, Pat and Declan
Reposing at her home from Thursday 22 from 3pm, with recital of the rosary on Friday, 23 at 8pm. Requiem Mass in St. Joseph Church, Ballyadams at 11am on Saturday, 24th December. Funeral Mass will be streamed on (link to follow). Burial afterwards in St Joseph’s Cemetery, Raheenbarnagh, Co. Laois.

Tuesday, 21st December 2022, peacefully in the loving care of the staff at Tinnypark Nursing Home, Kilkenny.
Beloved husband of Joan and much loved father of Stephen, predeceased son John and daughter Carmel who died in infancy. Sadly missed by his brothers Michael and Billy, sisters May, Carmel and Margaret, daughter-in-law Oonagh, grandchildren Laura, Róisín, and Jack, great-grandchildren Charlie and Paddy, nephews and nieces, extended family, neighbours and friends.
Reposing at Molloy’s Funeral Home, Callan (Eircode R95 Y443) on Friday, 23rd December, from 5.30pm concluding with Rosary and Vigil Prayers at 7pm. Funeral Prayers on Saturday morning at 10.15am followed by removal to The Church of the Assumption, Callan for Requiem Mass at 11am. Burial afterwards in Kilbride Cemetery, Callan.

Sheila Dempsey (née Murphy) of Killeshin, Co. Carlow, and formerly of Donaguile, Castlecomer, Co. Kilkenny, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on December 20th, 2022, at her home.
Beloved wife of the late Dinny, much loved mother of Liamy, Mary, Bridgie, Denis, John, Rita, Kathleen, Maurice, Michael, Séamus and the late Chrissie, Josie and Bernie and cherished sister of Jimmy, Nora, Maisie and the late John, Mary Anne and Jodie.
She will be sadly missed by her sons, daughters, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sons-in-law Michael, Ken, Willie, Seamus and Stephen, daughters-in-law Mag, Patrice, Maeve, Bernie, Sammy and Karen, brother, sisters, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
