Club events have been a rare occurrence over the past couple of years but thankfully they’ve been making a very welcome return in recent months.
And the Community Hall in Vicarstown this Saturday, December 10, is set to host hundreds of people for what promises to be a wonderful evening of festive fashion, music, dancing and fun for what is an Annanough GAA fundraiser.
With doors opening at 8pm, there is a mulled wine reception on arrival followed by Irish dancing from local dancers, a fashion show and live music.
There is also a full bar in place and anyone fearing World Cup withdrawals need not fear – the game between England and France will be live on the big screen.
Models will all be members of the local community – young and old – showing off items from local shops, including Fifty Seven Boutique from Athy and Durrow, Freesoul in Portlaoise and Bourke Sports.
Tickets are €20 and a small number remain available. Children are free.
There is a free door prize draw for all attendees with a selection of great prizes – including a €200 voucher for Fifty Seven Boutique. There is also a Christmas raffle.
It promises to be a wonderful evening and it’s a big day for the club with the drive-through Santa in operation for the children from 5pm.
