Skelly, Tommy, St Brigid’s Place, Portlaoise. and formerly Templeogue Dublin. 12th Nov 2022. Peacefully at home with his family. Dearly beloved husband to Laura. Loving father to Anita, Thomas and Jason.
Cherished grandfather to Grainne, Niamh and Ciárán. Deeply regretted his loving family. Sons in law Joe and daughter in law Helen. Sisters Margaret and Anne. Nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.
Funeral arriving at SS Peter Pauls church for 12 noon mass on Tuesday. https://www.portlaoiseparish.ie/webcam/ followed by interment in SS Peter and Pauls cemetery, Portlaoise. Funeral will be private. With house strictly private.

Carolyn Samaka (née Cuffe)

Samaka (née Cuffe) Carolyn (Turkey and late of Hillsbrook Avenue, Perrystown and Portarlington) November 8th 2022 (suddenly) in Turkey. Beloved mother of Zeki and Ayse, loving daughter of Patty and the late Val and loving sister of Irene, Valerie, Patricia and Bernard.
Sadly missed by her loving children, mother, Ahmet, sisters, brother, sister-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, grand nieces, grand nephew, aunts, uncle, relatives and friends especially Rita and family.
Reposing at the Brian McElroy Funeral Home, Crumlin Village on Monday from 5pm to 7pm.

Kavanagh Denis, Pallas Little, Portlaoise . Nov 11th 2022. Peacefully at home. Beloved husband of Cait. Dearly loved father to Karen, Orla, Aileen and Róisín. Cherished grandfather to Thomas, Aoibhín and Séan.
Sons in law Dermot Keenan and Eric Farrell, brothers Michael, John, sisters Mary and Rosaleen. Deeply regretted by his loving family, brothers in law, sisters in law, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.
Reposing at Keegans Funeral Home on Sunday evening from 6.30 pm, with rosary at 8 pm. Requiem mass at 12 noon on Monday in SS Peter and Paul’s Church https://www.portlaoiseparish.ie/webcam/ followed by interment in SS Peter and Paul’s Cemetery, Portlaoise.
Ann Oxley (née Connick)
Derrykearn, Abbeyleix, Laois/Broadway, Wexford
In the loving care of St. Vincent’s Private Hospital, Dublin in the presence of her loving family. Predeceased by her beloved Dad, Alfie.
Deeply regretted by her devoted family; her heartbroken husband Tim, sons John, Eamonn and Liam, mother Kathleen, sister Kay and her brother Sean. Also sadly missed by her brothers in law and sisters in law, cousins, nephews, friends, teaching colleagues and neighbours.
Reposing at her residence from 2:00pm to 6:00pm on Saturday and Sunday with prayers at 6:00pm on both days. Removal to the Church of the Most Holy Rosary, Abbeyleix for 12:00 noon requiem mass on Monday. The mass can be viewed on abbeyleixparish.ie/webcam.
Burial immediately afterwards in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Ballyroan Rd., Abbeyleix. Family flowers only, donations if desired to the St. Vincent’s Foundation for Cancer Research, collection box in house and church. House private on Monday morning.
Patrick Laffan
Ballycoolan, Stradbally, Laois
Suddenly, in his 96th year. Patrick passed away peacefully, in the loving care of the management and staff at Droimnin Nursing Home, Stradbally. Predeceased by his loving wife Mary, brother Matty and sisters Rita, Betty and Eileen. Survived by his sisters Teresa Mc Carthy (Edinburgh) and Mary Cuffe (Bradford). Sadly missed by his loving sons Philip, Matt, Peter, Liam, Marty, Joe, Dan and Stevie, daughters Betty, Maggie and Maria, daughters-in-law, sons-in-law, grandchildren ,great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.
Reposing in the Presentation Chapel, Stradbally on Saturday at 5pm until Rosary at 8pm. Funeral Mass on Sunday at 11.30am in the Sacred Heart Church, Stradbally followed by burial in Oakvale Cemetery.
Kathleen Daly (née Johnson)
Fossey Upper, Timahoe, Laois, R32 H7X8
Kathleen passed away after a long illness, peacefully, in the company of her loving family. Predeceased by her sister Mary. Sadly missed by her loving husband Andrew and her sons and daughters Marie, Andrew, Angela and Michael. Kathleen’s sisters Julie, Lillie, Pauline and brother Michael, sister in law Rose, brother in law Eamon, daughters in law Maureen and Maíread, sons in law Paul and Lorcan. Kathleen’s adoring grandchildren Andy Óg, Emily, Jill, Hannah, Méibh, Órna, Conal, P. J., Emmett and Lillian, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends.
Reposing at her daughter Marie’s residence, Main Street, Stradbally (R32H7X8), on Friday from 3pm with recital of the Rosary at 8pm. Removal by Whelehan Funeral Directors on Saturday at 11.15am to arrive at Saint Michael’s Church, Timahoe, for 12 noon Requiem Mass, followed by interment in Saint Michael’s Cemetery, Timahoe.
