Laois GAA have announced that they have a brand new sponsor and that O’Moore Park is to have a new name.
Laois Hire are the new main sponsor of Laois GAA and our county ground will now be called Laois Hire O’Moore Park Stadium.
Laois Hire take over from MW Hire who have sponsored Laois for the last 14 years.
Laois Hire was established in Portlaoise in 1992 by Michael Killeen and his wife Maureen.
Over these 30 years the company has expanded nationwide and grown at a phenomenal rate becoming the largest Plant & Tool Hire business in Ireland.
Laois Hire joined HSS Hire group in 2006 and in 2015 the group was floated on the London Stock Exchange, with Laois Hire ultimately becoming a PLC.
In another major development in April 2021 Laois Hire Group joined forces with Briggs Equipment Group, a £350m business with numerous businesses spanning Ireland and the UK whose parent Company Sammons Enterprises Inc. is one of the world’s largest privately owned companies.
Laois Hire supply a huge range of equipment and services to many different sectors including DIY, renewables, pharmaceutical, technology, civil and government bodies, in all corners of the country.
Having such a hugely successful local company at the helm of the County sponsorship is a perfect match for CLG Laois sponsorship.
Laois Hire have also taken over the naming rights of O’Moore Park and become the title sponsors of the stadium which will be known as Laois Hire O’Moore Park.
The stadium is one of vast history and proud tradition to us all and this deal will contribute to further enhancement and development of one of the leading stadiums in the country after Croke Park.
