The wider communities of Mountmellick and Clonaslee have been shocked this week at the sudden death of local Credit Union Colm Heslin.
Mr Heslin was manager of the Mountmellick and Rathangan Credit Unions, which also had an office in Clonaslee. He passed away suddenly at work on Tuesday. He was aged only in his early 50s.
A native of Kildare, Mr Heslin had worked in Mountmellick for the past ten years or so and was highly regarded by staff and customers alike.
Mountmellick and Rathangan Credit Unions will open from 10am to 4pm on Thursday and will update their opening hours again when funeral details are announced. Clonaslee Credit Union will not open this week.
Mr Heslin, who lived in Castleroe, Maganey, Kildare is predeceased by his brother Ollie.
He will be sadly missed by his fiancèe Michelle, his mother Mary, father Mick, brothers Terence and Fergal, Michelle’s parents Jim and Rita Kemmy, sisters-in-law Sophia, Averil and Maire, nephews Seth, Caleb, Fionn, nieces Amelia, Elodie, Isabella, aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives and a large circle of friends.
