Gardai have arrested and charged a man following a serious assault at the Electric Picnic festival last month.
The incident occurred on the Friday evening of the festival between 10pm and midnight at the Today FM Sound Garden.
It was during a set by DJ Jamie Maguire and is believed to have occurred during the final song.
A man, aged in his 30s, was treated for serious injuries in hospital.
One man aged in his 30s was taken to Tullamore Hospital and was later transferred to St James’s Hospital, Dublin.
There, he was treated for non-life threatening but serious injuries.
In a statement this afternoon, Gardai confirmed the arrest.
They say: “A male has now been charged with this assault and will be appearing before the Courts.”
