Laois Heritage Week took place from August 13–21 in venues across the county.
Heritage Week celebrated all the best of the built, natural and cultural Heritage of the county and the communities and individuals who look after it.
The theme for Heritage Week this year is “Biodiversity and Sustainability”.
Over the next few days, we will bring you pictures from all of the events that took place.
Up next, we have pictures from events in Abbeyleix and Portlaoise.
Brian Gaynor from the Irish Wildlife Trust was present at the cutting of Meadows for Pollinators at St Michael and All Angels Church, Abbeyleix.
This event was very well attended and those who were there really enjoyed it.
While in Portlaoise Town Park, an evening event saw people go in search of bats and rooks in a lovely walk.
