Maura Daly (nee Matthews), Johnstown Glebe, Rathdowney, Co. Laois and formerly of Main Street, Killimor, Co Galway.
Passed away on the 10th August 2022 at 6pm in the arms of her husband Tom and her four children and the wonderful staff of Mount Hybla Nursing Home, Castleknock, Dublin 15.
She will be sadly missed by her loving husband Tom, son Kieran, daughters Caroline, Eleanor and Rose-Marie, sons-in-law Liam and Colm, grandchildren Marie, Roisin, Lilly, Matthew, Daniel, Conor, her sister Aggie, brother-in-law Padhraigh, nephews, nieces, close family, friends, neighbours and her colleagues at the Midlands Regional Hospital, Portlaoise.
Reposing at 16 College Park, Castleknock, Dublin 15 (D15W5TF) on Friday, 12th August, from 6pm to 9pm.
Removal on Saturday morning, 13th August, to The Church of The Most Holy Trinity, Rathdowney, Co. Laois for requiem mass at 2pm followed by burial in Bealady Cemetery, Rathdowney, Co. Laois.

Margaret Burns

Margaret Burns, Cottage 1, The Green, Stradbally, Co. Laois and formerly of Killegoan, Killeshandra, Co. Cavan, Wednesday 10th August 2022, peacefully in the wonderful care of the nurses and staff of the Muiríosa Foundation.
Very deeply regretted by her brothers and sisters Pat, Owen, John, Stephen, Kitty, Ann, Sheila and Marie, uncle Stephen, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, grand-nieces and grand-nephews and relatives and friends and her very good friends in Stradbally and Monasterevin.
Margaret will repose in Cottage 1, Stradbally, Co. Laois (R32 XA66) on Thursday 11th August, from 3pm to 5pm. Funeral Mass on Friday 12th August in St Brigid’s Church, Killeshandra at 12pm followed by burial in adjoining cemetery.

Rose Dempsey (née Minnock)
Marian Ave, Portlaoise, Laois/Ballycumber, Offaly
Rose Dempsey nee Minnock, Marian Avenue, Portlaoise. August 9th (Ex R.P.N St.Fintan’s Hospital Portlaoise). Peacefully surrounded by her loving family at the Regional Hospital Tullamore. Predeceased by her mother Catherine, father Tom, brother Andy and sister Kathleen.
Rose will be deeply missed by her heartbroken husband Paddy, her daughter Cora and son Cyril, her adored grandchildren Emily, Alan, Conor, Tara and Ryan, daughter-in-law Noeleen, son-in-law Joe, sister-in-law Margaret Minnock, brother-in-law Joe and his wife Kathleen, nieces, nephews, neighbours, relatives, friends and former colleagues in St. Fintan’s Hospital.
Reposing at her residence on Thursday, August 11th, from 6pm with rosary at 8pm. Requiem mass on Friday at 12 noon in SS Peter and Pauls Church, Portlaoise. Live webcam at https://www.portlaoiseparish.ie/webcam/. Followed by interment in Boher Cemetery, Ballycumber Co.Offaly, arriving at 2:30pm.
Dr. Jane Lyons
Clough, Ballacolla
The death has occurred of Dr. Jane Lyons, peacefully, while sleeping in her home in Clough, Ballacolla, Co. Laois. Beloved mother of Sinéad, Shane and Kate; and big sister to Kate, Sarah, Helena and Matthew. She is sadly missed by her family, son-in-law Conor, many friends and adoring pets.
Her wake will take place in O’Sullivan’s Funeral Home, Rathdowney, Co. Laois (R32 NY24) on Friday, August 12th, from 6pm to 8pm. We will then celebrate Jane’s life with a humanist ceremony in Newlands Cross Crematorium at 10.40am on Saturday, August 13th.
For those unable to attend, her memorial service will also be live streamed online (the livestream link will be uploaded later). Her family request donations to Dog’s Trust in place of cards or flowers.

Peacefully, surrounded by his loving family & in the loving care of Dr. Harry Kelleher & all at Oaklodge Nursing Home, Cloyne. Beloved husband of the late Regina & much – loved father of Frank, Clodagh & Aoife, dear brother of Betty & the late Pauline, Dympna, Mona & Evelyn.
Sadly, missed & lovingly remembered by his son, daughters, sister, daughter-in-law Deirdre, son-in-law Roy, grandchildren Camille, Luke & Hannah, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours & a wide circle of friends.
Michael will repose at Cahill’s Funeral Home, Newtown Rd., Cobh P24Y383, on Tuesday, August 9th, from 5.30pm with rosary at 7pm. Removal on Wednesday, August 10th, at 10.30am to St. Colman’s Cathedral for 11am Requiem Mass, followed by burial in St. Colman’s Cemetery.

Unexpectedly, on August 2nd 2022. Deeply regretted by his loving parents David and Olive brothers Jack and David, grandparents, uncles and aunts, cousins, relatives and friends.
Reposing in his home on Tuesday from 2pm. Rosary at 8.30pm. Removal on Wednesday morning at 10.15am to St Joseph’s Church, Mountmellick. Requiem Mass at 11am. Burial afterwards in St Paul’s Cemetery, Emo, arriving approx 12.30pm.
