All weekend the small picturesque village of Emo rocked to the soundtrack of Forest Fest, the new three-day music festival that attracted music fans in their thousands.
The community sports field was utterly transformed with the main stage set against the backdrop of a forest canopy from the neighbouring Emo Court.
With over 50 acts, across three days, it was an ambitious project that festival promoter Philip Meagher embarked upon.
But it was pulled off in style, even if the Covid restrictions of the past two years meant it took a while longer than he anticipated in coming together.
Even the rain – which was threatening all weekend and came in showers on Sunday – failed to dampen the spirits.
Now the challenge is to push on and make it an annual event, something Meagher spoke about on Friday morning as the finishing touches were applied to the site.
