Funeral details have been announced for Michael Timmons, the Portlaoise man who died tragically while swimming in Derryounce Lake in Portarlington last Saturday.
Mr Timmons got into difficulty while swimming at the popular beauty spot and was pronounced dead at the scene.
From Dr Murphy Place in Portlaoise, he will be reposing at Keegan’s Funeral Home on Thursday evening from 6.30pm with rosary at 8pm.
Removal on Friday morning to arrive at SS Peter and Paul’s Church for 12 noon requiem mass.
Interment will follow in SS Peter and Paul’s Cemetery, Portlaoise. Please observe Covid precautions.
Michael is predeceased by his father Joseph and brothers Jo-Jo, Patrick and Jackie and sister Frances.
He is deeply regretted by his loving mother Frances, adoring sisters Anna, Joan, Marian, Linda and Fionnuala, brothers Liam, Noel and Declan, daughters Cori and Ann, grandchildren Zach, Haley and Lily, great-grandchildren, brother-in-law Michael, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.
