Marie Payne (nee Curham), Mountmellick, Co. Laois, passed away peacefully, on June 25th, 2022, following a short illness. Predeceased by her parents Thomas and Ellen Curham, and Jack Curham. She will be sadly missed by her beloved husband Lar, her sons Garry and Jason, her grandchildren Noah, Imogen, Peter, Isaac and Penny-Kate, her sisters Joan and Betty, brothers Ray and Tom, sisters and brothers in law, nieces and nephews and many friends.

Peacefully at Naas Hospital. Predeceased by his parents Andy and Elizabeth Mulhare, brothers Andy and John. Deeply regretted by his loving sisters Birdie (Deegan), Frances (Tierney) and Elizabeth (Mahoney), brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.
Reposing at Maher’s Chapel of Rest Portarlington on Monday evening from 6:30pm with Rosary at 8pm. Removal on Tuesday morning at 11:10am (travelling via Black Bird Cross and his residence) arriving Church of the Sacred Heart Rath for Requiem Mass at 12 noon. Funeral afterwards to St John’s Cemetery Killenard.
Joan Graham (née Butler)
Ferndale, Dublin Road, Portlaoise, Laois
Beloved wife of the late Jimmy and much loved mother of Noel & Séamus. Predeceased by her parents Martin & Mary, brothers Ned & Thomas, sisters Eileen, Mary, Brid, Kay & Ann.
Deeply regretted by her loving family, daughters in law, Sarah & Jane, grandchildren, Katelyn, Lauren, Caragh, Aoda, David, and great-granddaughter Khloe, brother in law, sister in law, nieces & nephews, extended family, relatives & friends.
Reposing at her son Noel’s home at Derry, Timahoe Rd, Portlaoise, R32 K81K on Sunday from 3pm to 8pm with rosary recital at 8pm. Removal on Monday to SS Peter & Paul’s Church, Portlaoise for 11am requiem Mass. Interment afterwards in SS Peter & Paul’s Cemetery.

Peacefully at Castlecomer District Hospital, surrounded by his family
Predeceased by his beloved wife Anne, his parents Mary and Patrick, brothers John and Henry. James will be sadly missed by his sons Pa, Michael, Seamus and Adrian, daughters Mary and Catrina, their partners, son-in-law Colm, daughter-in-law Kathleen, grandchildren, great grandchildren, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Reposing at the residence of his daughter Catrina and Colm Meagher, Firoda, Castlecomer (Eircode R32 D867 Ballyragget Road, right turn for Ballyouskill)
Reposing on Sunday (26th) from 3pm and on Monday (27th) from 2pm concluding with Vigil Prayers and Rosary at 8.30pm. House private please on Tuesday morning. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Castlecomer at 11am on Tuesday, with burial in the adjoining cemetery.

Newcastle, England/Portarlington, Laois
Formerly of 52 St Brigid’s Square Portarlington. Peacefully at Northumbria Specialist Emergency Care Hospital.
Loving son of the late Jim and May Murphy. Deeply regretted by his loving wife Tina, daughter Anna, brothers, sisters, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, extended family and friends.
Seamus’s Cremation Service to take place in Newcastle.
