A series of workshops took place in the Laois Arthouse as part of the Bealtaine Festival this month.
It ran on Wednesday May 4, 11, 18 and at Laois Arthouse which is located in Stradbally.
The workshop titled ‘Writing Your Story’ was ran by renowned local writer Pauline Clooney looked at creative non-fiction writing (Memoir/biography/autobiography).
It gave participants a great chance to record for posterity their memoirs or interests in writing about fact in a creative manner with encouragement and guidance from Pauline over the 4 week course.
Bealtaine is Ireland’s national festival which celebrates the arts and creativity as we age.
The festival is run by Age & Opportunity, the leading national development organisation working to enable the best possible quality of life for us all as we age.
Age & Opportunity Arts provides opportunities for older people to be more creative more often and to create meaningful participation.
They also give representation for all older people in cultural and creative life and to demonstrate and celebrate how our creative potential can improve with age.
