A tractor run is leaving Mountrath mart this Sunday, May 29 at 2 pm.
The run is in memory of Trevor Wallace who died a year ago.
The aim of the run is firstly to remember Trevor who had a huge heart and character to match.
A fencing contractor by trade and farmer, Trevor was well known in the Laois area and further afield.
The organisers of this event say that Trevor was always ready to chat and talk and was a hard working man who loved machinery.
Trevor’s death was sudden and left a huge hole in so many lives and his loss shook the farming community to its core.
Secondly the organisers hope to hear from members of Pieta House and Teach Tom where the funds raised will be split.
They are looking forward to seeing as many tractors as they can get on the day.
Registration begins at 12 with the run itself getting underway at 2pm sharp.
