This looks like it will be great!
There will be live music from local band Paper Planes and a free colour run this Friday afternoon in the picturesque village of Vicarstown.
Involving young people from schools, Family Resource Centres and Youth Reach Groups, the event takes place at 4pm this Friday, May 13.
A free event, the 3km fun run/walk will go out and back along the banks of the Grand Canal – on the new blue-way track with those taking part arriving back covered in the multiple colours that will be dispensed (in a relatively clean and dry way!) along the route.
The event is being organised by Laois Comhairle na nÓg and supported by Laois Sports Partnership, Laois County Council, LOETB and Youth Work Ireland Laois.
The event has been endorsed by Rory O’Connor of Rory’s Stories fame and Connacht rugby player Eoghan Masterson, a native of Portlaoise.
