A Laois primary school held a successful fundraising event to raise money for those affected by the war in Ukraine.
Pupils and staff in Scoil Bhride, Mountrath, came together recently for this worthy cause.
Pupils made beautiful blue and yellow decorations to hang up around the school.
While everyone wore something blue/yellow on the day in solidarity with the Ukrainian people.
Some of the girls in the senior classes also wrote letters of support to the children of Ukraine.
Donations totalling €390.60 were collected on the day which was no mean feat for a school their size.
This money has been donated to the ISPCC who will distribute it to those most in need.
