Mountmellick Macra is to host a walk on an award winning Laois dairy farm next week.
They will host an informative evening on Friday May 6t as they invite people to the family farm of Trevor Cobbe in Doolagh, Portarlington.
Trevor won the coveted National Dairy FBD Young Farmer of the Year award in 2021 and will be joined on the night by other category winners.
The farm walk will start with a tour of the Cobbe farm where Trevor’s journey in farming and the farm’s technical performance will be discussed.
A panel discussion between winners of the Young Farmer of the Year awards will follow and topics of interest will range from dairy to beef and horticulture.
This session will be facilitated by the Agricultural Affairs Chair and Teagasc Signpost Farmer, Shane Fitzgerald.
The event will begin at 6.30pm (Eircode: R32 P4F8).
