Tickets for the much-anticipated Forest Fest at Emo Village in Laois go on sale today, Friday, March 25, at 12 noon.
The inaugural festival which is already the talk of the town with its ambitious, diverse, eclectic, and fun-filled entertaining line-up promises to be the soundtrack of the summer.
Set in the heart of Emo village against the backdrop of the wonderful Emo Court it is poised to be something really special with over 30 top acts already confirmed.
The organisers are thrilled with the fashion in which the event has already been enthusiastically embraced by the community and are determined to make it a successful annual event.
“We’re aiming for a quality programme, which captures the summer festival feelgood vibe with the music centre stage supported by a broad ranging arts and entertainment programme, a funky mix of performers which can attract fans and families to Emo for the best weekend of the summer on the second last weekend in July,” promoter Philip Meagher said setting out his vision for the first ever Forest Fest.
“We want people to muse, be amused and meander through the festival, the village, Emo Court and the lovely Laois environs to enjoy a weekend of entertainment like no other.
“In this regard we want the festival to work for everyone, the music fans, families, the local community, visitors and or course the artists and performers.
“We want to create fond memories and for everyone to already be looking forward to the following year once the festival wraps on the Sunday night. To that end we’ll be keeping everything tight and manageable with numbers for the overall audience, camping, festival club, all strictly limited,” explains Philip.
To make Forest Fest as convenient as possible for everyone involved, car parking for festival ticket holders will be free and connecting buses from all the major towns and cities will be organised to facilitate daily ticket holders attending and returning from the concerts.
Tickets are now on sale on the Forest Fest website www.forestfest.ie or from Eventbrite.
There is a good variety and mix of ticket offerings to accommodate fans as much as possible.
Weekend tickets are €170. There are also individual daily tickets for each day of the festival, Friday, €65; Saturday, €75 and Sunday, €65. A limited issue Weekend Festival Club ticket is €195.

There are also weekend ticketing options with camping or campervan/motorhome/caravan.
These cost an additional €30 and €50 respectively. Both overnight camping options are strictly limited and are sold online on a first come first served basis.
Children under 12 also go free to the festival, once accompanied by a ticket holder adult. Ticket holders must be over 18 and proof of ID may be requested to gain admission.
