The Ballyroan 10 Mile race and 5km fun run is set to take place this Sunday January 23.
The race registration and number collection will take place inside Scully’s pub, Main Street in Ballyroan.
Registration will take place from 9.30 to 10.30 am on the day. There will be toilets here too.
The 10 Mile start line is the Ballyroan Soccer pitch, approximately 800m from registration. The 10 Mile course consists of 2 laps.
The 5km start line is the Green Ballyroan, beside registration area.
A spokesperson said: “We have lots of prizes to be won on the day, including:
“Prizes for 10mile: 1st Male and Female €200; 2nd Male and Female €150; 3rd Male and Female €100
“€100 bonus if male and/or female record broken and €50 for 1st Male and Female over 40, 50 and 60.
“Prizes for top two club teams of four, male and female.
“Prizes for 5k: Cash Prizes for top three Male and Female; 1st O-40 Male and Female; 1st U-16 Male and Female.
“Ballyroan Brew Box will be selling Tea/ Coffee and treats before and after the race.
“There will also be refreshments outside Scully’s pub after the race for you, so don’t leave without a sandwich or treat!
“Finally, Ballyroan Abbeyleix & District A.C would like to thank you for supporting our race and we hope you enjoy the day.”
