The showpiece event of the Irish basketball scene takes place this weekend and there will be huge Laois involvement.
From today, clubs from across the country will go head to head in the various National Cup finals.
The National Basketball Arena in Tallaght will play host to a range of finals as the best of the sport clash.
Portlaoise Panthers are represented by their U-20 Women’s team who are set to take in the final.
Waterford Wildcats will be their opponents on Sunday morning at 11am with silverware up for grabs.
The Panthers reached this stage after defeating Singleton Supervalu Brunell of Cork in the semi final two weeks ago.
The side, coached by Jack Dooley and Peter O’Sullivan, are set for a rematch of their U-18 National Cup final from two years ago.
They won 76-53 on that day and much of the panel are still available now.
A total of 14 players are set to be in action on Sunday and we have profiled each of them below.
