The Laois footballers played their fourth game in 12 days on Wednesday night on Carlow when they booked their place in the O’Byrne Cup final thanks to a dramatic penalty shootout win over Kildare.
Alan Hartnett had a bird’s eye view of the sudden death shootout with his phone somehow miraculously surviving on 1% to bring the action live to our audience on Facebook.
On our latest LaoisToday Talking Sport Podcast, he chats about that – and of course the game itself.
Laois now go forward to play Dublin’s final, back in Dr Cullen Park again.
As well as that, we chat about the brilliant Portlaoise Panthers U-20 women’s basketball team who are in All Ireland final action this Sunday as well as some of the news from the local soccer and rugby scene.
