We are also opening a new class for children with Autistic Spectrum Disorder in the 2022 / 23 School Year and inviting applications for our new ASD Class.
Enrolment is now open and the closing date for enrolment is the 11th February.

We celebrate togetherness in Ballyadams N.S. Our school motto is ‘Together We Are Stronger’ or as we like to say and practice ‘Ní neart go cur le chéile’.
We are a Catholic co-educational school located in the Diocese of Kildare & Leighlin in the idyllic country surrounds of the parish of Ballyadams, Co Laois located just over the Windy Gap between the town of Stradbally and Ballylinan.
Our school teaching staff numbers seven teachers.
We have four mainstream class teachers and three special education teachers, our Special Needs Assistant alongside our school ancillary staff.

Ballyadams NS – School Accomplishments
We are one of three Laois schools who were taken on board the Creative Clusters Schools Excellence Programme for 2021 – 2023 which promotes innovation and creativity in schools through learning.

As part of the Schools Of Excellence Programme we are currently using V.R or Virtual Reality in our classroom to allow the children learn in a way they find engaging, fun and enjoyable! We were delighted to welcome RTÉ to Ballyadams N.S in December to showcase the creative learning taking place by the boys and girls in our classrooms.

We are a proud Green School. Our Green School motto is ‘Show your worth, be good to the earth’. We have a number of Green Flags earned as part of our Green School initiatives and we look forward to continuing our engagement with Green School projects in the future.
In 2021 we were delighted to take part in a Gardening Project in conjunction with Laois Education Centre which promoted diversity.
We have installed new raised beds in our school garden and our green fingered students have planted and cultivated a host of colourful vegetables and edible flowers.

In Ballyadams there is a wonderful tradition in Gaelic Games. We celebrate participation and developing the abilities of all our children and take great pride in their efforts and successes. We look forward to our boys and girls taking part in Cumann Na Mbunscol competitions when they are allowed to resume.
