Two Laois shops sold winning Lotto tickets of €36,687 each in Saturday’s draw where the jackpot of €19 million was won.
149 players had five numbers plus the bonus and they shared in almost €5.5 million.
Dunnes Stores in Rathdowney sold one of the tickets while Martyn’s Centra on Main Street in Mountrath sold the other winning ticket.
The identity of the winners is not known – but hopefully the lucky punters are from Laois.
The winning ticket for Saturday night’s €19 million Lottery jackpot was sold in Castlebar, Mayo.
The capped jackpot was the biggest in the history of the game and had been rolling over since last June.
The holder of the winning ticket has not yet come forward.
A spokesperson for the National Lottery said: “Saturday night’s Lotto draw was an incredibly exciting event which saw players in every county in Ireland win big in the draw.
“We are still waiting to hear from Ireland’s largest ever Lotto jackpot winner from Castlebar.
“We are urging all of our players in from Saturday night’s draw to check their tickets carefully and if you are one of the big winners, you should contact the prize claims team on 1800 666 222 or claims@lottery.ie so that arrangements can be made for your prize to be paid.”
The winning numbers were: 02, 09, 16, 30, 37, 40 and the bonus was 23.
