Two Laois students have been awarded a scholarship following their outstanding Leaving Cert results.
Laura Devoy, who sat her Leaving Cert in Scoil Chriost Ri this year, received 613 points.
The Stradbally native was recently awarded an Undergraduate Entrance Scholarship to the Bachelor of Education (Primary Teaching) programme at Mary Immaculate College.
Ciara Brennan, from Timahoe, also attended Scoil Chriost Ri and achieved the same outstanding Leaving Cert result.
She is also studying the Bachelor of Education (Primary Teaching) programme at Mary Immaculate College and has received a scholarship.
The scholarship, valued at €2,000, was awarded on the basis of high-level CAO points obtained in the Leaving Certificate Examination.

MIC offers a range of financial initiatives for incoming students such as Entrance Scholarship.
There are up to 50 offered per annum, CAO Concession Schemes, Sports Scholarships and various other bursaries.
