History was made at a Laois secondary school last week as a girls team competed in their first ever soccer match.
Dunamase College Minor Girls soccer team took on Edmund Rice College Castleknock last Friday.
In a fantastic encounter, the Portlaoise school emerged on the winning side to make the perfect start.
Meanwhile, basketball at Dunamase College kicked off with two fantastic wins for the U-16 and U-19 boys teams last Wednesday.
Both teams overcame Coláiste Cill Dara in their first game of the year with some superb talent and resilience displayed.
