Eilish died peacefully on 7th October, (age 83) in San Francisco after a 55 year nursing career.
Predeceased by her parents, Joe and Frances Hughes, her sister Mary Brady and her brother John.
Fondly remembered by her sisters Frances Taaffe (Mullingar), Kathleen Feely (Skerries) and Margaret Quigley (Galway), her brother, Jim (Garrykennedy) by her brothers in law, Jack Taaffe, Kevin Feely, Alo Brady, Tom Quigley and her sister in law Mary Jo Hughes (Portlaoise). Also by her many nieces, nephews and her many cousins.
Funeral arrangement will follow when her ashes reach Ireland.

Died, peacefully, October 7th 2021. Deeply regretted by her loving husband Jimmy, family, neighbours, relatives and friends.
Anastasia (Anna) Somers (née Butler)
Churchquarter, Errill, Laois
Anastasia (Anna) Somers (née Butler), Churchquarter, Errill, Co. Laois, October 7th 2021. Former National School teacher. Predeceased by her husband Jim.
Peacefully, at home, in the presence of her family, following a long illness bravely borne. Deeply regretted by her sons Pat and Kieran and her daughter Anne-Marie, her sister Margaret and her brother Seamus, daughter-in-law Noelle, son-in-law Peadar and her beloved grandson Eoghan, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Funeral Mass on Saturday at 10am in The Church Of Our Lady, Queen Of The Universe, Errill, followed by interment in St. Kieran’s Cemetery, Errill. Please adhere to the COVID-19 directive regarding public gatherings. The funeral cortege will proceed to the Church on Saturday morning at 9:40 via Gorman’s Cross, providing an opportunity to pay your respects en route.
Martin (Marty Cha) Delaney
Ballinrally, Camross, Laois
Called to his heavenly home on October 7th 2021, In the excellent care of Patterson’s Nursing Home, Roscrea, surrounding by his loving family.
Reunited with his parents Charles and Teresa (nee Ryan) stepmother Annie (nee Carroll), sister Maureen.
Sadly mourned and missed by Noel, Teresa, John, Michael, Erin, Saoirse and Brian, cousins The Delaneys, Ryans and Carrolls, the many wonderful caring neighbours, all his friends both near and far.
Reposing in his home on Saturday 9th October with Recital of the rosary at 9pm. Removal to St Fergal’s Church, Camross on Sunday for Requiem Mass at 12.30pm. Burial afterwards in adjoining cemetery. House private on Sunday morning. Martin’s Funeral Mass will be streamed on the Camross Community Pastoral Council Facebook Page.
Family flowers only, by request, Donations to Laois Hospice would be appreciated as a mark of his long association with this charity. Boxes will be available at the house and chapel.

Sarah (Sally) Galvin, (née Butler), Peafield, Pike of Rushall, Portlaoise, Co. Laois. Died 7th October 2021 (peacefully) surrounded by her loving family at Mount Carmel Nursing Home Roscrea in the excellent care of management and staff.
Predeceased by her beloved husband Tom, brother P.J. Much loved mother of Gerry, Marie and Suzanne. Sadly missed by her grandchildren Dylan, Conor, Laura, Emma, Sarah, Katelyn and Ralph, daughter-in-law Mary, sons-in-law Richie and John, sister Kitty, brother Willie, brother-in-law Con, sisters-in-law Kay, Kathleen, and Elizabeth, nieces, nephews, neighbours and friends.
Reposing at Burke’s Funeral Home Mountrath this Friday evening from 7pm with Rosary at 9pm (all those attending are asked to please respect social distancing guidelines).
Removal from Funeral Home on Saturday morning to St. Edmund’s Church, Castletown (Eircode R32 KT22), for Requiem Mass at 11am, followed by burial in St. Fintan’s Cemetery Mountrath.
Sarah’s Requiem Mass will be live streamed on the St. Edmund’s Church, Castletown Facebook page. (under new government guidelines the capacity of the Church is limited to 50%).

Walsh (nee Coss) Barnashrone, Mountmellick. October 6th 2021. Peacefully surrounded by her loving family. Agnes, beloved wife of the late Tom. Dearly loved mother to Tony, Matt, Anne, Valerie, Larry, and Brian. Deeply regretted by her loving family, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.
Reposing at Keegans Funeral Home, Portlaoise on Thursday evening from 6 pm with rosary at 8 pm. Requiem Mass at 11 am on Friday followed by interment in SS Peter and Paul’s Cemetery, Portlaoise. Mass will be streamed on Parish webcam http://www.portlaoiseparish.ie/web-cam/.

Reposing in Moloney’s Funeral Home Mountmellick, Thursday from 6.30pm Recital of The Rosary at 8.30pm. Removal from The Funeral Home on Friday Morning at 10.30am to St Mary’s Church Clonaghadoo for Requiem Mass at 11am. Burial after in Castlebrack Cemetery. Family flower only. Patrick (Pat) Dowling
Ballycarroll, Portlaoise, Laois/Athy, Kildare
Formerly of Levitstown, Maganey and Athy. Retired farmer, has been living in the loving care of St. Vincent’s Hospital, Athy, Co. Kildare, where he died peacefully. Predeceased by all his known blood relatives including his father (John Dowling 1889 to 1962, Hallohoise, Castledermot) and his mother (Mary Ann Byrne, born 1893 in Mountbrook, Barrowhouse, died 1973 in Ballycarroll). Mourned and sadly missed by the members of the extended Dunne and Doyle families and all his friends and caring neighbours.
Reposing at Rigney’s funeral home, Athy from 6pm to 8pm on Wednesday, 6th October, with Rosary at 7pm. Please wear face coverings and adhere to social distancing. Removal at 11am on Thursday morning to arrive at The Church of the Assumption, The Heath, Portlaoise for Requiem Mass at 12 noon (church is limited to 50% capacity).The mass will be livestreamed, see link, https://www.portlaoiseparish.

Thomas (Tom) Hopkins; Littleover Derby, England and late of Knock, Co.Mayo. Wednesday 15th September 2021, after a short illness borne with courage and dignity.
Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife Lily, his children Orla, Nuala and John, his grandchildren Niamh, Jack, Joseph and Nora, his sons-in-law James and Dan, his seven sisters and brother Bride, Theresa, Nancy, Vera, Sean (deceased), Bernie, Florrie, and Carmel; the extended Hopkins and Dwyer families, colleagues from McLoughlin Pipelines, neighbours and many friends.
Funeral Mass on Thursday 7th October at 1pm at St Mary’s Catholic Church,Darley Lane, Derby, followed by interment in Borrowash Cemetry, Derby.
