A Laois band are set to release a brand new single ahead of a live performance next weekend.
The Lost Messiahs are based in Portlaoise and are releasing a new single from their upcoming album in The Malthouse Stradbally on Saturday September 18.
That show kicks off at 7.30pm and there are still a handful of tickets remaining.
The five person band is fronted by the well-known Ollie Plunkett of Golden Egg Studios who is on the guitar.
He joined by lead vocalist James O’Connor lead vocals and acoustic guitar, Martha Cummins on drums, Eamonn Duff on bass while Anna Slevin is on piano and vocals.
Their new single, ‘Place in my Heart’ is the first single to be taken from the upcoming album.
It is set to be released on Wednesday September 15 – three days before the band’s live show.
This will be The Lost Messiah’s third album of original music.
Their sound is a rich palette of atmospheric guitars, dark and brooding synths and driven by a relentless hypnotic rhythm.
The new single ‘Place in my Heart’ captures the recent loss of a parent and the letting go process.
The single will have a worldwide release next week and their new album is set for release in January 2022 followed by a comprehensive tour of East Coast America.
