What do you need to apply for a Student Loan?
Proof of college course, three months recent bank statements and two payslips required from parent/s. If a student is working, we will need two recent payslips. If the student qualifies for a Susi Grant, we will need proof of this.
Do I need a lot of savings to take out a Student Loan?
No, you just need to be a regular saver, loans are granted on your ability to repay not your savings! You can apply with as little as €20 in your account.

How soon can I access my Student Loan?
Once your Student Loan is approved you have three months to drawdown your loan. Students don’t start paying interest or making any repayments until you draw down the loan.
