It was quiet night on the GAA front this evening.
In Divsion 3 Group A of the hurling league, Portlaoise gave themselves a chance of reaching the semi-finals by defeating Ballypickas.
The group will be decided next Tuesday when Clonad who are top play Ballypickas while Portlaoise face Mountrath.
Courtwood booked their place in the Division 5 football semi-final after they defeated The Heath to clinch top spot in group A.
