A total of 25 clubs had winners in the final Laois GAA €130 county board ticket draw held this evening.
The draw was streamed live on Facebook by Laois GAA, with two members of An Garda Siochana acting as the independent observers.
Colm and Dylan Kavanagh of Borris-Kilcotton scooped the top prize of €10,000 while there were a total of 25 clubs represented among the 35 winners in all – with Crettyard, Borris-Kilcotton and Portlaoise all having three winners.
There was a great spread of winners with Crettyard (3), Borris-Kilcotton (3), Portlaoise (3), Ballylinan (2), Arles-Killeen (2), Timahoe (2), Clonaslee (2), Abbeyleix, Portarlington, Ballyroan-Abbey, Colt, Ballinakill, Mountmellick, Rosenallis, Arles-Kilcruise, The Rock, Stradbally, St Joseph’s, Annanough, The Harps, Ballyfin, Ballypickas, Errill, Clough-Ballacolla and Kilcavan

There were also two prizes of €1,500, one €1,000, nine €500 winners and 20 €250 winners.
This draw, which has been running since 2000, is a huge annual fundraiser for the clubs.
Depending on a club’s status there is a levy of tickets they have to sell with all of that money going to directly to Laois GAA.
But once they go past the levy, €115 of each ticket sold goes to the clubs.
