You can always trust Alf Harvey’s brilliant archives to deliver.
This week we take a trip down memory lane to 2007 when he visited Scoil Bhride in Mountrath.
The occasion? A Green Flag presentation and he duly captured the wonderful atmosphere.
Fourteen years later, the students featured will have mostly completed their primary and secondary education. Many of the older ones will be now part of the workforce.
Green Flag co-ordinator was teacher Kathleen Burke while principal Mary Rohan was also keeping a dutiful eye on proceedings.
Local doctor Paddy O’Dwyer was also on hand to raise the flag, which was the culmination of a lot of hard work from all concerned.
