First Dates Ireland is back for a brand-new series and the match making is in full swing.
The hit RTÉ2 show is looking for men and women from Laois to join them in the restaurant.
Five Laois people have appeared on the show in recent years. Back in 2017, golfer Mary Doyle tried to find love with a man from Louth.
In the same series, Camross farmer Jamie Cuddy proved a big hit when he met Lisa from Waterford.
Twitter went into meltdown in 2018, and local pubs even put on parties when the episode aired, as Camross’ Eoin Scully took a punt at finding love.
In 2019, Michael Boyhan from Mountrath was the next Laois person to have a go when he went in search of the perfect woman.
While Laois’s last representative was model Katarina Ľubiščáková from Portlaoise – who appeared in 2020.
Producer Paul Kelly is hopeful that some more Laois people can appear this time.
He said: “We’re currently casting for the new series and are looking for more single men and women to join us in the First Dates restaurant.
“We’ve had some really great Laois daters in the past so wanted to reach out to the county once again.
“We are hoping that Laois men and women will come forward once again in a bid to find love.”
If you’d like to be in with the chance of nabbing a date in the First Dates restaurant this summer – there’s still time to appl.
