Gardai appeal for driver ‘to come forward’ after six-year-old child injured in Laois town

Gardai in Mountmellick are appealing for the driver of a vehicle that was involved in a road traffic accident last week to come forward.

The incident occurred on Harbour Street last Tuesday May 18.

In the accident, a six-year-old child was injured and now Gardai are appealing for the driver to come forward.

They say: “Mountmellick Garda are investigating a road traffic accident on the 18th May 2021 at approximately 4.50pm on Harbour Street, Mountmellick.

“During the course of which, a 6 year old child was injured.

“We are appealing to the driver of the vehicle involved to come forward and speak to our colleagues in Mountmellick Garda Station.
