Margaret Carroll (née Lalor) Newry and formerly Killimy, Emo and Emmett Tce, Mountmellick. Died May 17th 2021 at Daisy Hill Hospital Newry. Deeply regretted by her loving family.

May died peacefully at the University Hospital, Limerick. Beloved wife of the late Roland. Loving mother to Stewart, Jane (predeceased), Scott, Sarah, Walter, Flora and Ruth. She will be sadly missed by her sons, daughters, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, relatives and many friends.
A private family funeral will take place. Family flowers only. Donations if desired to MS Ireland or the Irish Kidney Association.
Joe Gaffney
Portarlington, Laois / Walkinstown, Dublin
Gaffney, Joe, 16th May 2021 (Portarlington, Co. Laois and formerly of Walkinstown) (unexpectedly), at home; brother of Peter and the late Dermot and loving son of the late Peadar and Christina. Joe will be very sadly missed by his brother, niece, nephews, extended family and his many good friends in Newlands Golf Club.
In line with Government and H.S.E advice regarding public gatherings, a small private funeral will be held.

Patrick (P.J.) Flanagan, Rock Road, Borris-in-Ossory, Co. Laois. May 18, 2021 (peacefully) at the Midlands Regional Hospital Portlaoise. Predeceased by his wife Dorothy (Dora) (nee Jennings, Belmullet, Co. Mayo) and brother Michael.
Deeply regretted by his loving sons Noel, Kevin and Sean, daughter Sinead, daughters-in-law Karen, Audrey and Sonya, brothers Timothy, Johnny and Noel, sisters Maisie, Catherine, Eileen and Margaret, his cherished 5 grandsons, 5 granddaughters and great-grandchild, extended family, relatives, neighbours and a large circle of friends.
In line with Government and HSE advice and to insure the safety of all a private family funeral will take place (Max 50 people in the Church) Patrick’s Funeral Mass will take place this Thursday morning (May 20th) at 11 am in St. Canice’s Church, Borris-in-Ossory and will be live streamed on the borrisinossoryparishonline Facebook page, with burial immediately afterwards in Derrinsallagh Cemetery, Borris-in-Ossory.

Died 16th of May, in the loving care of his family. Beloved son of the late Stephen and Annie, and dear brother of the late Tony. Deeply regretted by his loving brothers and sisters, Chrissie, Navarre (USA), Ann O’Neill (UK), Noel (UK), Mary Grehan (Mountmellick), Jenny Murphy (Portarlington), Frances Hibbitts (Mountmellick), nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law, neighbours, relatives and a large circle of friends.
Giving the exceptional circumstances and to protect the welfare of everyone who knew Paddy, a private family Funeral Mass will take place at 11 am on Thursday, 20th of May, in St. Joseph’s Church, Mountmellick. Burial afterwards in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Members of the public are welcome along the route from Moloney’s Funeral Home maintaining a safe social distance. Family flowers only. Donations, if desired, to Family Cares Association. House strictly private.

Gorman (née Heffernan), Borris Great, Portlaoise and late of Convent View, Tullamore. May 17th 2021. Died peacefully in the company of her family, after a long illness borne with dignity and courage. Margaret (Peggy), beloved wife of Martin (Marty) and dearly loved Mam to Kevin, Sinéad and Sarah, cherished grandmother to Jamie, Carrie, Ruth and Kevin Junior. Deeply regretted by her loving family. Brothers Paddy (Kent, UK) and John (New York), daughter in law Jane, son in law Colin, brothers in law, sisters in law, nephews, nieces, relatives and fiends.
Given the current exceptional circumstances, and to protect the welfare of everyone who knew her, a private funeral, with family only, will take place at 12 noon on Wednesday, 19th May, in SS. Campion (Née Nolan), Angela Ellen, Ormsby House, Durrow and Rathdowney, Laois. May 17th 2021 in her 102nd year. Much loved mother of Michael, Miriam, Tadhg, Constance and Rita and sadly missed by her sons-in-law, daughter-in-law, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her husband Joseph and her sister Dr. Marie Nolan Hughes, Glengarriff.
Due to the COVID-19 directive a private funeral has been arranged. Requiem Mass at The Church of The Holy Trinity, Rathdowney on Wednesday, May 19th, at 2pm (parishwebsites.ie/rathdowney). No flowers but donations to Rathdowney Parish c/o Rathdowney Parish Office.

Sadly missed by his grandchildren, brother, sister, daughters in-law, sons in-law, extended family, neighbours and friends.
Arriving in St. Fintan’s Church, Raheen (Eircode R32 WT44) on Tuesday evening for Rosary at 8 o’clock. Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday at 12 noon followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.

Carmel Murphy (nee Ward), The Square, Durrow, Co. Laois (formerly Rahaval House, Redcross, Co. Wicklow) – 15th May 2021 in her 91st year peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family.
Predeceased by her parents William and Catherine Ward, her brothers Malachy and John and her beloved husband Joseph. Deeply regretted by her sorrowing family. Sons Tomàs, Seosamh, Sean, Òisìn, Durrow, Pascal, New York, daughters Catriona, Los Angeles, Carmel, Ethiopia, Orla, Waterford, daughters in law Bernie, Joan, Rosezita & Gabriela, sons in law Todd, Sione & Paul, sisters, Maire, Eilis, Kay, Therese & Rosaleen her 23 grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Reposing at her residence. In accordance with government regulations, those visiting are asked to follow strict COVID 19 protocols regarding mask wearing, social distancing and hand hygiene. A family removal and Requiem Mass will take place for Carmel on Wednesday 19th May 2021 in the Church of the Holy Trinity at 2pm.
