At last the GAA season is upon us with the first competitive games taking place this weekend in the National Hurling League.
The Laois hurlers travel to Wexford to take on Davy Fitzgerald’s side this Sunday in what will be the first game for new manager Cheddar Plunkett.
And ahead of his second coming as Laois boss, Cheddar joins us on this week’s Talking Sport Podcast.
He chats with Steven Miller about his decision to take on the role again, his backroom team and his views on the gap that Laois have to bridge.
He also explains the story behind his nickname and how he enjoyed his role as a hurling analyst on the GAA Hour podcast with Colm Parkinson.
