Byrne Paddy (DeVesci Court, Portlaoise) and formerly Donnybrook and Dundrum. Died April 27th 2021 peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of Breda.
Dearly loved father to Ger, Karl and Paul. Cherished grandfather to Vayda, Killian, Cameron, Willow, Luke, Leah and Sean. Deeply regretted by his daughters in-law Siobhan, Claire and Nicola. Sisters. Sisters in-law and brothers in-law, nieces and nephews, extended family and friends, May he rest in Peace.Family flowers only , donations if desired to the Oncology unit at St James Hospital.
Funeral prayers will take place at Keegans Funeral home Portlaoise at 6 pm on Thursday evening.

Bridie Mannion (née Corcoran)
Lakeside Park, Loughrea, Galway/Ballyroan, Laois
Bridie passed suddenly from this life on Monday 26th of April in Galway University Hospital. She is deeply and deservedly missed by her loving husband Paddy, sons John and Padraic, grandchildren Rory, Cormac and Lucy, sister Moira, brother Pat, nieces, nephews, relatives, extended family, neighbours and many friends.
In keeping with HSE, NPHET and Public Health guidelines, attendance at funerals is limited. Please respect the privacy of the family during this difficult time. A private Mass will be celebrated for the repose of Bridie’s soul with immediate family only on Thursday, 29th April, at 12:30pm in St. Brendan’s Cathedral, Loughrea. For those who would have liked to attend the Mass but can’t due to current restrictions Bridie’s Mass will be on the following link BRIDIE’S FUNERAL. Bridie will be laid to rest in Mount Pleasant Cemetery immediately afterwards.
Bridie’s cortège will leave her home to make its way to St. Brendan’s Cathedral at 11:45am, travelling via Barrack Street. Family and friends are invited if they wish to stand at their homes or line the route as a mark of support to the family.

O`Brien, Christopher, Cherrygrove, Knockmay Est., Portlaoise. 27th April 2021. Peacefully surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by his parents Paddy and Frances and wife Patricia. Dearly loved father to Yvonne, Damien, and Sandra. Deeply regretted by is brothers and sisters. Ann, Carmel, Kathleen, Pat, Tina, Martin, Paddy, Kenneth, Shane, and Alan, Cherished grandfather to Gordon, Evan, Teagan and Grace, son-in-law John and Sonny, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nepews, nieces, relatives and friends.
Given the current exceptional circumstances and to protect the welfare of everyone who knew him , a private funeral, with immediate family only, will take place at 12 noon on Thursday in St. Peter and Paul’s Church, Portlaoise and will be streamed on the webcam http://www.portlaoiseparish.ie/web-cam/. Burial will follow in SS Peter and Paul’s Cemetery, Portlaoise. Friends are welcome to attend the cemetery for burial.

Josephine (Jo) Bracken (née Egan)
Capparogan, Clonaslee, Laois/Durrow, Laois/Ballinasloe, Galway/Navan Road, Dublin
Joesphine (Jo) Bracken (nee Egan), Capparogan, Clonaslee, Co. Laois. Formerly of Durrow, Co. Laois, Ballinasloe, Co. Galway and Navan Road, Dublin 7. Died on the 25th of April 2021, peacefully at home in the loving care of her family, after a short illness. Predeceased by her brother Tom and his wife Anna. Deeply regretted by loving husband Jeremiah and family Colum, Tricia, Ann, Enda and Diarmaid, daughters-in-law Cathy, Cheryl and Kathy, son-in-law Don, grandchildren Orla, Aoibhinn, Daniel, Shane, Keeva, Ronan, Eamon, Fintan, Siobhán and Rossa, sister Maura and brother-in-law Flan, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family and her many dear neighbours and friends.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions and by adhering to government guidelines, a private family Funeral Mass will take place for Jo’s family members only. (Maximum 25 people in the Church). Her remains will arrive to St. Manman’s Church, Clonaslee, on Tuesday evening at 7pm. Funeral Mass on Wednesday at 11am followed by burial afterwards in St. Manman’s Cemetery, Clonaslee.
House Strictly Private Please at all times. No flowers, by request, Donation, if desired, to Laois Palliative Care.

Síle O’Connor
Ashbrook, Clonaslee, Laois
Native of Charleville Road, Tullamore, Co. Offaly. Died peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family and friends. Predeceased by her daughter Helena (Conroy), her brother Michéal (O’Connor) and her sister Lil (Sheils). Deeply regretted by her son Aidan (Conroy) and her daughter Donna (Conroy), her two grandsons Christopher and Mark (Conroy), her brothers Paudge, Eamonn and John Joe, her sisters Netty, Nancy (Fox) and Marge (Rigney), her friend Margaret and the Delaney family of Graigue, Mountmellick, cousins, nieces, nephews. Former work colleagues (HSE Tullamore), friends and relatives.
A strictly private cremation will take place on Tuesday 27th of April. A funeral Mass will be held at a later date when all Covid19 restrictions are lifted and all family members can attend.
