Mary (Jo) Young (née Garry)
Clonminch, Tullamore, Offaly / Mountmellick, Laois
Formerly of Clonaghadoo, Co. Laois. Died peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family. Deeply regretted by her loving husband Eamon, her son Nathan, her daughters Charlotte, Wendy and Amanda, her daughter-in-law Siobhan, her son-in-law Nico, grandchildren Abigale, Kian, Margot, Alex and Charlie, her brother Jimmy, relatives, neighbours and a large circle of friends.
Given the current exceptional circumstances and to protect the welfare of everyone who knew Mary, a private family Funeral Service, will take place at 11am on Tuesday, 13th of April, in St Mary’s Church, Clonaghadoo. Burial will follow in St Mary’s cemetery, Clonaghadoo.
The funeral cortège will travel from Moloney’s Funeral Home on Tuesday morning at 10.15am to St Mary’s Church, Clonaghdoo . Those who wish to come out to pay their respects can do so along the route, maintaining a safe social distance.

William (Billy) Case
Ballycarroll, Portarlington, Laois
William passed away, peacefully at his home, in the company of his loving family. Sadly missed by his wife Marie and his family Sam, Alan, Pearl, Hazel, Emily, Geraldine and Eric, his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, daughters in law, sons in law, brothers, sisters, brothers in law, sisters in law, nieces, nephews, neighbours and friends.
Due to Covid 19 restrictions, a private family funeral will take place. Removal from his residence on Sunday at 2pm to arrive at the Church of the Ascension, Rathdaire, Ballybrittas, for Service at 2.30pm. Interment to follow in the adjoining churchyard.
Family flowers only, please.
Sympathisers are welcome to stand along the route to the church and in the precincts of the church grounds. Social distancing to be observed at all times, please. The Case family would like to thank you for your co-operation, understanding and support during this sad, sensitive and difficult time.

James (Jimmy) Byrne
Knockanina, Mountrath, Laois
James (Jimmy) Byrne, Knockanina, Mountrath, Co. Laois. (Ex Eircom). April 9. 2021 (peacefully) at the Midlands Regional Hospital Portlaoise. Predeceased by his wife Mary, brother Billy, sisters Biddy, Nancy and Mary-Kate.
Deeply regretted and will be sadly missed by his loving sons Anthony, James and Thomas, daughters Mary and Paula, son in law. daughters in law, grandchildren, great – grandchildren, sister in law, brothers in law, partners, nieces, nephews, extended family relatives neighbours and a large circle of friends.
Due to Government & HSE advice and to insure the safety of all a Private funeral will take place (Max 10 people) you are asked not to congregate in the church yard or the cemetery to ensure the safety of all.
Jimmy’s Funeral Mass will take place on Monday (12th. April) in St. Edmund’s Church, Castletown at 10 am, followed by burial in St. Fintan’s Cemetery, Mountrath. Funeral Mass will be live streamed on the St. Edmund’s Church, Castletown Facebook page.

Kilbreedy, Rathdowney, Laois
Tim Doherty, Kilbreedy, Rathdowney, Co. Laois, April 7th 2021. Peacefully, at St. Vincent’s Hospital, Dublin, following a brief illness. Deeply regretted by his wife Mary and his family, Paula, Carol and Brendan, his sister Breda, nieces, nephews, in-laws, neighbours and a wide circle of friends.
Due to the current level 5 COVID-19 directive, a private funeral has been arranged. You are asked not to congregate in the churchyard or in the cemetery, in the interest of public safety and in line with current guidelines. Funeral Mass in St. Canice’s Church, Clough, on Saturday at 12 noon, followed by interment in Bealady Cemetery, Rathdowney. The cortège will proceed from Kilbreedy on Saturday morning at 11.40am via Bordwell and Rahandric which will provide an opportunity for you to pay your respects en route.
