Kathleen Humphries (née Higgins)
Phibsborough, Dublin/Portlaoise, Laois/Maynooth, Kildare
The death occurred of Kathleen Humphries (1928-2021) (née Higgins,) at Maryfield Nursing Home, Chapelizod, Dublin 20. Late of 13, Great Western Villas Phibsborough, Dublin and Grattan Street, Portlaoise. Kathleen died, peacefully, in her sleep at Maryfield, a most caring and nurturing place that has been her home for the last three years. She was a mother, greatly loved and treasured. Her children, Ethel, Gerard, Matt, and Colm and their loved ones Gwen, Sandra and Fintan know that a part of them goes with her. She will be greatly missed. Kathleen is mourned also by three generations of grandchildren, nephews, nieces, extended family, former neighbours, fellow residents at Maryfield and friends.
Maryfield provided healing care and love for her and the family. It is a place of welcome and even in Covid restrictions, a place where compassion rather than fear was the watchword.
Due to current government guidelines, a private family funeral will take place for Kathleen. Those who would have liked to attend the funeral, but due to the current restrictions cannot, please leave a personal message for the family in the condolence section below.
Kathleen has returned to Colm and Fintan’s home at Maynooth. She will be removed to Maryfield on Monday evening and her funeral Mass will take place there on Tuesday April 6 at 11am. The liturgy will be livestreamed at https://churchmedia.tv/camerachapelzoid. Kathleen will be buried after Mass beside her parents and brothers at St Peter & Paul Cemetery, Portlaoise
Jim Hyland
The Sawmills, Ballybrittas, Laois/Geashill, Offaly
Formerly of Rathfeston, Geashill, County Offaly. Peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family. Loving father of the late Attracta. Deeply regretted by his loving wife Bridie, daughters Deirdre, Finnuala, Anita and Thelma, brother Ned, sister Quennie, sons-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends.
Due to the Covid 19 restrictions a private family funeral will take place. Removal from his residence on Easter Monday at 11:15am (travelling via the village) arriving St Paul’s Church, Emo for Requiem Mass at 12 noon. Funeral afterwards to The New Cemetery, Emo. People are welcome to stand the route to the church, in the churchyard and in the cemetery with strict social distancing being observed at all times.
The family would like to thank you for your help and understanding at this sad and difficult time.
This is a celebration of Jim’s life “Which Was Long And Well Lived”.

Suddenly. Sadly missed by her loving daughters Sarah and her partner John, Rebecca and her partner Niall, grandchildren Robin, Piper and Ivy, brothers, sisters, extended family and many friends.

The Glebe, Clonaslee, Laois
Tom Flynn, The Glebe, Clonaslee, Co. Laois. Passed away on the 31st of March 2021, peacefully, in the wonderful care of the nursing staff and medical team at the Regional Hospital, Tullamore, Co. Offaly. Survived by his wife Brigid (Bridie), daughter Sinéad, son-in-law Niall, grandchildren Andrew and Niamh, sisters, brother and wider family.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions and by adhering to government guidelines, a private family Funeral Mass will take place for Tom’s family members only. (Maximum 10 people in the church), on Sunday, 4th of April 2021 in St. Manman’s Church, Clonaslee, at 12 noon, followed by burial afterwards in St. Manman’s Cemetery, Clonaslee.

Vera Moynan (née Cantwell)

Peacefully in her 90th year at her daughter’s home. Beloved wife of the late Bert; sadly missed by her daughter Elizabeth, sons Leslie and Albert, son-in-law, daughters-in-law, grandchildren and their spouses, great grandchildren, extended family, neighbours and friends.
Reposing privately at her daughter’s home. In accordance with HSE guidelines a private Burial Service will take place in Killermogh Churchyard on Monday at 2.00pm.
Due to the increased risk of infection, you are asked not to congregate in the churchyard or it’s surrounds in the interest of public safety and in compliance with the current guidelines of 10 people only in the Church or Churchyard. The family thank you for your understanding at this difficult time.
