The Durrow Scarecrow Festival has fallen victim to the Coronavirus pandemic for the second successive year.
This year’s festival was set to run from July 25 to August 2 but will now not take place.
Organisers have taken the decision now in the interest of health and safety of all.
They said: “It is with a very heavy heart that we can now confirm that the 2021 Durrow Scarecrow Festival will not be taking place this year.
“We look forward to welcoming everyone back to Durrow in 2022, for a fun filled family festival.
“Until we can be together again, keep you and yours, safe and well.”
The festival began in 2010 and ran for ten successful events before Covid forced its first break in 2020.
A date has already been set for the 2022 festival – July 24 to August 1.
