Predeceased by her daughter Cecilia. Beloved wife of Joe and much loved mother of Mary, Patricia and Greg. Deeply regretted by her loving family, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, brother, sister, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, relatives and friends.
Cremation to take place on a later date.
Joe Whelan

Formerly of Garryglass, Timahoe, Co. Laois. Predeceased by his mother Catherine, father Neddie, step sister Leisha, step brothers Paddy, Mick, Johnny, Jimmy and Andy. Beloved husband of Nuala. Deeply regretted by his loving family, sister Mary, step sister Catherine, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, cousins, extended family, relatives and friends.
Requiem mass on Wednesday, 17th March, at 2pm in St Peter & Paul’s Church, Monasterevin. Interment afterwards in Raheen Cemetery, Geashill, Co. Offaly. Mass can be viewed on www.monasterevinparish.ie.
Nora Carroll (née Dooley)
Finnard,Tunduff, Abbeyleix, Laois / Camross, Laois
Formally of Ballina, Camross, Co. Laois. Predeceased by her husband James. Loved, adored and sadly missed by her sons Joe, Oliver, Dan, John and Michael, daughters Carmel, Noreen and Mary, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, daughters-in-law, son-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbours, friends and carers.
Funeral arriving to The Church Of The Most Holy Rosary, Abbeyleix on Wednesday via upper Main Street for 12.30 pm. Requiem Mass (Family Only) and will be live streamed on: https://abbeyleixparish.ie/webcam/
Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Due to current restrictions sympathisers may line the route and attend the Churchyard while observing social distancing .
Brendan Finlay
(Devon Arms, Tenerife), Portarlington, Laois / Portarlington, Offaly / Wexford
The death has occurred of Brendan Finlay, Devon Arms, Tenerife. Formerly Patrick St., Portarlington; Rathfarnham; and Drumree, Co. Meath.
Sadly missed by his loving wife Annette, sisters Emer and Mary, mother-in-law Betty, aunt Theresa, brothers- and sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. Predeceased by his parents, Jack and Eileen.
Funeral Mass in Tenerife on Wednesday, March 17th. A memorial will be held in Ireland at a later stage.
Ned Fitzpatrick
Coolagh, Clonaslee, Laois
Ned Fitzpatrick, Coolagh, Clonaslee, Co. Laois. Died on the 13th of March 2021, peacefully at his residence. Ned will be deeply regretted by his loving brother Paddy, relatives, neighbours and friends.
His remains will arrive to St. Manman’s Church, Clonaslee, this Sunday evening at 7pm. Funeral Mass on Monday the 15th of March 2021 in St. Manman’s Church, Clonaslee, at 11am, followed by burial afterwards in St. Manman’s Cemetery, Clonaslee.
In accordance with Covid-19 government guidelines and restrictions regarding public gatherings both Sunday and Monday are limited to 10 people in the church. Ned’s Funeral Mass can be viewed on www.mcnmedia.tv under Clonaslee Parish.
Ned’s brother relatives and friends would like to take the opportunity to thank everyone for their understanding and support at this difficult time.
