Anyone with information is being asked to come forward following vandalism in a Laois playground.
On Saturday evening, damage was done in the children’s playground in Portarlington.
This is located near the leisure centre in the town.
Local Councillor Aidan Mullins posted a picture of the damage that has been done.
And he appealed for anyone with information to contact gardai.
The Sinn Fein Cllr said: “Some mindless morons set fire to some of the equipment in the Children’s Playground in Portarlington on Saturday.
“If you have any information please come forward and report it.
“It isn’t the first time that anti-social behaviour has taken place here.
“This is not good enough so I would encourage anyone with information to please come forward.”
