Predeceased by his mother and father, brothers Bill, Henry and Ned, sister Shiela. Martin died, peacefully, in the loving care of his wife Chris, and daughters Sinead, Louise and Karen. Deeply regretted by his wife, daughters, brothers Michael and John, sister Mary, grandsons Jamie, Jack and Aaron, son-in-law Peter, his uncle Peter, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.
Due to present circumstances, a private family funeral will take place. Requiem Mass for Martin will take place on Monday at 2pm in St. Peter and Paul ‘s Church, Portlaoise and will be live streamed on https://www.portlaoiseparish.ie/webcam/ Interment afterwards in St. Peter and Paul’s Cemetery.

Mc GANN Dermot A.J (Derry). (Portlaoise and formerly Attymon Co. Galway) December 18th 2020, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family in the Blackrock clinic. Loving husband of Miriam (Daly), brother of Nuala and adored Dad, Granddad and Great Granddad.
Predeceased by his son Niall, brother Cyril and sisters Fidelma and Cora. He will be very sadly missed by his wife Miriam, daughters Marisa, Susan, Olga, sons-in-law Diarmuid, Bernard and Martin, Grandchildren Aisling, Ruth, Niall, Síofra, Stephen, Ella, Jack, Niall, Conor, Grainne and his Great Grandchildren Eddie and Timmy, Siofra’s husband Brian, Aisling’s fiance John G, brothers-in- law Dom Kevin Daly and Michael, Sisters- in- law Brenda, Mary, Deirdre and Madeleine, nieces, nephews, extended family, friends and former colleagues in Telecom Eireann.

His caring character and quick wit will be remembered and missed.

Given the current exceptional circumstances and to protect the welfare of everyone who knew him , a private funeral, with immediate family only, will take place at 12 noon on Monday in St. Peter and Paul’s Church, Portlaoise and will be streamed on the webcam http://www.portlaoiseparish.ie/web-cam/. Burial will follow in Deans Grange cemetery at 11 am on Tuesday morning.

Anthony (Tony) Burke of 33 Eastwood Road, Goodmayes, Ilford, England and formerly of Killeshin, Ballickmoyler, Laois, passed away peacefully, on December 13th, 2020, at St Bartholomew’s Hospital, London.
Beloved husband of Pauline, father of Lisa, Toni and Carl, adored grandfather of Aurelia, Lyra, Charles, Harold and Chloe and cherished brother of P.J (New Zealand), Michael (Canada), Martin (Killeshin) and the late Oliver.
He will be sadly missed by his loving wife, son, daughters, grandchildren, son-in-law Mark, daughter-in-law Jessica, brothers, brothers-in-law Joe, Jim, sisters-in-law Teresa, Colette, Bridie, Nora and Mary, nephews, nieces, cousins especially Una Scully, Tommy, Pat and the late Paul Lacey, relatives and friends.

Beloved husband of the late Maura and Father of Janet, John, Paul and Martin, brother of the late Daniel, Peter and Nora. Sadly missed by daughters-in-law Phyllis and Nora, son-in-law John. Grandchildren Shaun, Michael, Rebecca, Daniel, Maeve and Caoimhe. Greatly missed by loyal friend, neighbour and carer Kathleen, extended family and wide circle of friends.
Due to the Covid 19 restrictions house is strictly private and a private family funeral will take place. Removal from his daughters residence on Saturday 19th Dec arriving at 6pm to St. Patrick’s Church, Ballyroan for prayers. Requiem Mass on Sunday 20th December at 12 noon followed by burial in St. Patrick’s Cemetery. Requiem Mass will be streamed live here. Family flowers only.
People are welcome to stand along the route to the church and in the churchyard with Social Distancing being observed.
